Disney On Ice • Pixar's Toy Story 3

Disney On Ice • Pixar's Toy Story 3

I recenlty went to Disney On Ice Toy Story 3 and it was incredible!  The lights were bright, the characters were spot on, and the skaters were amazing and had me feeling like I could get out there on the ice with ease.  My friend and I brought some of our daughters and we were all glued to our seat the whole show through.  The show lasts about 2 hours and 15 minutes, with an intermission in between.  Be sure to get your face painted, get your cotton candy with either a Buzz hat or alien hat attached to the bag, and buy your Toy Story 3 gear.

If you missed this show, be sure to go over to Disney On Ice online to find out when the next show is coming our way.  You can see more pictures from the show at my family blog, www.barnettes.com.

Brunet-Garcia Documentary Honored by Telly Awards

The 33rd Annual Telly Awards recently honored Joash Brunet, writer/producer at Brunet-García Advertising, for the agency’s documentary Immunization: A Dose of Reality. The Tellys honor the finest film and video productions and excellence in local, regional and national commercials.

Brunet, who had 15 years of experience as a television producer before joining Brunet-García, wrote the script, providing insight, empathy and an unbiased journalistic expression to the increasingly controversial social issue of immunization. In addition, Brunet oversaw production and post-production duties for the hour-long program.

“The success of this documentary hinged on the expertise and passion provided by the medical experts and families who participated in this project,” says Brunet. “We feel this Telly Award honors their commitment and openness in this collaborative effort.”

It Happened One Spring – Eventually

Sadly, I know that as I sit here at my preferred café table, the old baseball fields on Hendricks Avenue are lying brown and fallow, as “winter” in Jacksonville grinds on.  Yet we all might take comfort in knowing that soon enough, the old reliable tractor will sputter to life once again, hungry for grass seed and freshly turned dirt. ...
