June 1 – Cosmic Concert – Experience total-sensory entertainment as laser lights, high-def images and digital sound collide to create a Cosmic Concert! Laser Beach Boys at 7 p.m., Laser Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here at 8 p.m., Laser Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon at 9 p.m. and Laser Pink Floyd: The Best of “The Wall” at 10 p.m. Tickets are available at www.moshplanetarium.org or at the door. Tickets are $5 per person per show; laser glasses cost $1.

June 6 – Senior Days - Senior Days is a special program for members of the senior citizen community that includes a coffee and donut reception, an educational presentation, and free time to explore the museum.  The program starts at 9:45 a.m. and is $6 per senior citizen.  Reservations are suggested and are based on availability. Call 396.MOSH (6674), ext. 226 for details.

June 13 – Pre-K Day - Bring your little ones over to MOSH the second Wednesday of every month for exclusive programming for preschool-aged children and their caregivers.  From 9 to 11 a.m. admission is only $5 per person (ages 3 & up) and includes the planetarium show, Zula Patrol, at 10 a.m.  Call 904.396.MOSH (6674) ext. 226 for details.

June 18 – Summer Adventure Camps Begin – Become a scientist! Travel back in time to the age of dinosaurs! Build space robots! A new adventure awaits each week at the Museum of Science & History’s Summer Adventure Camps being held through August 10. In addition to hands-on instruction, planetarium programs and science shows, campers will also get to explore the museum’s exhibits, including the summer exhibit, A T. rex Named Sue!  Camps are offered for Pre-Kindergarteners (Pre-K Camps are half-day or full day) through 6th graders.  Camp times are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and before- and after-care is available.  Pre-K half-day camps start at $95 and K-6th grade camps start at $180.  MOSH Members receive a $20 discount.  Call 396.MOSH (6674), ext. 226 or register online at www.themosh.org

June 23 – Science-Fiction Day – MOSH is hosting an “out of this world” Sci-Fi Day. Special science-fiction themed activities will run throughout the day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are free with museum admission.  Storm Troopers, Starfleet officers, Klingons, droids and more will be available for photos.  Other program partners include the 501st Garrison, Rebel Legion, Starfleet International Jacksonville and Orlando, International Plastic Model Builders Associations, Project Farragut, and the Jacksonville Public Library.  For more information, visit www.moshplanetarium.org.

June 28 – MOSH After Dark: Speaking of Sue - Join Dr. Barry Albright, a paleontologist at UNF, for a discussion of some little known facts about A T. rex Named Sue and her excavation. The discussion begins at 6 p.m. and is free for MOSH Members, students and teachers with an ID; $5 for the public.
