Register Your Emergency Contact Information Week

If you are involved in a crash, who would you want police to notify?  In Florida, residents have  the ability to make that decision before an emergency strikes. To date, more than 5 million Floridians have registered their  emergency contacts with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.  Gov. Rick Scott signed a proclamation to name Oct. 2 - 8, 2011, Register Your Emergency Contact Information Week in  Florida, and DHSMV is teaming up with the Division of Emergency Management to encourage all Floridians to register  their contacts.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Enjoy a good film? Want to see local talent or budding producers?

Or maybe you'd like to submit some creative work of your own?

The Jacksonville Music Video Revival (JMVR) is a program of the 2011 Jax Film Fest showcasing local musicians and filmmakers.

This October the Jacksonville Music Video Revival will join the newly named and re-branded Jax Film Fest lineup.

This year's film fest will feature a full program of local music videos on the big screen as part of Duval's premiere showcase of independent film.

The JMVR began last year to showcase local filmmaking and musical talent.

The hope is to stimulate a "revival" of the art from here in Jacksonville.

In June 2010 the request for music videos began. Videos were submitted at a surprisingly rapid rate.
