JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Everyone is invited to McKenzie's Run, a special event in memory of Bolles student McKenzie Wilson.  The event is a walk/run on November 19th.  Last year more than 2500 people attended.

The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation is hosting the 2 nd annual McKenzie's Run on at 10:00 a.m. at EverBank Field.

The inaugural McKenzie's Run was held in memory of McKenzie last year on November 20 th.

It was one of the top 10 attended races on the First Coast in 2010.

More than $150,000 was raised at the inaugural McKenzie's Run, and all the proceeds went to programs that help young people recognize their full potential.

Those programs include the new McKenzie's Academic Resource Center, where tutoring and mentoring takes place every day after-school for students in a local community on Beach Blvd., and the building of a girl's orphanage, called Amaka ga McKenzie, in Uganda, Africa.

McKenzie's Run is a 5K run and walk with a 1 mile fun run that finishes inside EverBank Field, where participants can watch themselves cross the finish line on the JumboTron.

There is a celebration immediately following the race with live music, games, awards, an autograph signing by Jacksonville Jaguar ROAR Cheerleaders and an appearance by Jaxson de Ville.

Participants can register online at www.mckenziesrun.org and a team of 3 or more people is only $15 per person. McKenzie's Run is sponsored by The Players Championship, EverBank, Lender Processing Services, Acosta and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in memory of McKenzie Wilson who passed away in 2010.

The Foundation is dedicated to helping young people find their purpose in an increasingly complex and challenging world.
