Mysterious Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Missing | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Police are investigating mysterious circumstances after a crash in San Marco.

Jacksonville Traffic Homicide Investigators were called out to the 2000 block of Olevia Street around midnight. That's just off of Philips Highway.

According to police two people were in the vehicle when it crashed into a utility pole. They believe the driver fled on foot.

The passenger was taken to Shands Jacksonville, where he died.

Officials at Shands notified police saying they believed the victim's injuries were not caused from the crash but from something else.
