San Marco construction nears the end of "phase 9" | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --  Construction on the northbound lanes of San Marco Boulevard is set to be done next month, but the end of the project isn't near.

The San Marco Streetscape project began in September 2010.  The City of Jacksonville says the project is on budget and on schedule.

The construction on the northbound lanes of San Marco Boulevard is scheduled to be done Oct. 31.

COJ says there will be no construction from November 1 through January 1st in order to make the area accessible for holiday shoppers.

The final phase of construction will begin on January 2.  It is a roundabout at Naldo Avenue.
