Jacksonville United FC Helps to Save Cancelled Duval Countysports Programs

Jacksonville United FC will donate proceeds from their National Premiere Soccer League game against the Knoxville Force on June 25 to the Save Our Sports fundraising effort.  Proceeds from ticket sales and all donations made at the game will go toward funding boys’ and girls’ junior varsity high school soccer programs in Duval County.  The game will be played at 7 PM at Mandarin High School (4831 Greenland Road Jacksonville, FL 32258).

In addition, donations to help save the junior varsity soccer programs can be made online at http://www.jacksonvilleunited.com/.  This game has also been designated as North Florida Youth Soccer night and all NFY players wearing their team jersey will be admitted free of charge.  Ticket prices at the gate are $10 for adults and $5 for youth.  Group discounts are available if purchased prior to the game online at http://www.jacksonvilleunited.com/npsl-pro-team/tickets/.

This game presents an opportunity for the soccer community in North Florida to show support for their sport on two levels. At the game they will be afforded an opportunity to watch professional soccer.  The JUFC squad is composed mainly of players who played high school and college soccer in the Jacksonville area.  Secondly, funds from ticket purchases and public donations will help ensure that the future soccer stars of Jacksonville are able to play their sport in high school.
